On February 23, 2024, early in the morning, a burglary takes place on Rorschacher Strasse in St. Gallen, targeting a specialty spirits store. The criminals, determined, steal bottles worth several thousand francs. But things don’t go as planned.

At the Oberbüren exit, the suspects leave the highway, only to return moments later. Their escape attempts are in vain.
The municipal police, supported by the St. Gallen cantonal police, take action to stop the criminals for good: a police car deliberately rams the burglars' Peugeot, ending their escape.

The tension rises as two of the four criminals are immediately arrested. The other two try to flee on foot, but the chase quickly ends with their capture.
Although a municipal police officer is slightly injured during the arrest and receives prompt medical attention, the operation is a success thanks to the responsiveness and coordination of the law enforcement teams.
