My name is Mejrema, I'm 32 years old, and I'm Serbian.
What motivated you to work at Protectas?
I wanted to gain more experience in the security sector.
Can you tell us about your beginnings at Protectas?
I learned to stay calm in difficult situations and to work as a team.
Today, what are you responsible for?
I am an operator in an asylum seekers centre, which means I am responsible for daily management: I take care of the team and the daily security operations related to the safety of everyone on site.
What do you like about your job?
Team collaboration.
What is your biggest challenge and how do you handle it?
An evacuation can be a stressful situation. I need to know and implement the exact protocol. We had internal training and we practice on-site at the asylum seekers centre.

Helpfulness.
A piece of advice for women who want to work in the security sector?
I advise women to enhance their skills and be confident.
