Who are you in a few words?

My name is Patrick Abegg, I'm 29 years old, Swiss with Brazilian roots. Outside of work, I have a deep passion for music and often play the piano.

What motivated you to work at Protectas?

The opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and face new challenges every day motivated me to join Protectas. Additionally, I appreciate that Protectas values good performance and offers development opportunities through internal training.

Can you tell us about your beginnings at Protectas?

I started at Protectas in 2018. Over time, I gained experience in various fields, from doorman to store detective, and then as a planner for the federal asylum centre. In April 2023, I finally joined the Sales Support team, where I still work today.

And what are you responsible for there?

As Deputy Sales Support Manager, I am responsible for handling offers and tenders for the Zurich and Eastern Switzerland regions (St. Gallen, Grisons).

What do you like most about your job?

I enjoy the contact with clients as well as collaborating with various teams. You learn something new every day. Moreover, the Sales Support department is very dynamic, making each day different.

What is your biggest challenge, and how do you manage it?

My biggest challenge is dealing with unexpected problems or requests that need to be resolved quickly. To handle them, I remain calm, prioritise tasks, and work closely with my team to find the best possible solution.

Which value resonates most with you and why?

For me, service-mindedness is the most important value, as it is crucial in my role to assist both clients and colleagues. It is particularly important for me to identify problems early on, carefully analyse them, and contribute to their resolution. Only together, as a team, can we achieve the best results.

Any advice for women who wish to work in the security sector?

Be confident and believe in your abilities. The security sector needs the perspectives and strengths of women. Don’t be discouraged by stereotypes and bring your skills and experiences to enrich this industry.
